The Birth of Celestial Midwifery Services
If you have read my bio then you know a little about me. My career has been a mixture of hospital and out of hospital (OOH) births. My favorite by far is the OOH. When I returned home to SC in 2016 to start a hospital-based practice, I had no idea the change that would occur just two short years later.
In October of 2018, I left that practice, unsure of my next adventure. I decided to take the holidays to spend with family and make up for lots of lost time. I spent time in the mornings in devotion and prayer. One of those mornings, I was led through a soft whisper to open my own practice. The birth of this practice would follow the longest pregnancy I’ve ever experienced!
The dream of a simple OOH practice has grown over the last fifteen months into a mission to serve the midwifery community. Uniting a CNM with Certified Practice Midwives and Licensed Midwives. Along the way they have shared so much love and knowledge with me and challenged me to step into their world. In this journey I acquired my CPM, LM credentials and have experienced many wonderful workshops and meetings with them. A new sisterhood was birthed as well as my OOH practice.
Celestial Midwifery Services (CMS) was conceived in November of 2018 and now after one year of pregnancy and a long labor, the birth is here. This is a unique practice of a CNM, CPM, LM providing services and love to the birthing community. I thank all the birth workers along the way who have showed so much love and support to CMS.
